| | I met Tim in July 2009 the week that I moved into my town home in Downtown Memphis. His name first came up one week prior to my move-in at the Homeowner's Association pool party. Several people were expecting him to Dj and were disappointed that he wasn't there due to his family reunion in Pine Bluff. Once I moved in, I met my neighbor now friend Torrie. One evening we were standing in front of my house talking and she was giving me the lay of the land in our community. It was then that she told me that I had to meet Tim. She said that he was a lot of fun and definitely somebody I needed to know. Five minutes later, Tim drives up in his black Suburban. Torrie was like, "Oh my God, that's him right there!" As soon as he rolled his window down and my eyes met his, I knew it was a matter of when not if in terms of us being together. Days later we met again and exchanged phone numbers. After dates of biking riding, dog walking, concerts, Memphis Grizzlies games, Sunday breakfasts, and long weekend trips we decided to be an exclusive couple. It was late 2010 that we began to talk about marriage and has led us to our wedding ceremony Memorial Day weekend. |
 | On or about sometime in July 2009, I noticed a beautiful, eclectic-looking lady being drug through my neighborhood by two rambunctious pug dogs. I soon found myself unable to take my eyes off of this sight for reasons other than the mere spectacle of the dog walking. I was intrigued by who might this beautiful, blonde-highlighted, natural-haired afro woman maybe. As curious as I was, I made no immediate moves to inquire in that I felt oddly intuitive that I was soon to know. After noticing her a few more times, we were introduced by a neighbor. When we met I knew it was a matter of time. I proceeded slow letting things progress naturally. Heck, we were neighbors after all, so nobody was going anywhere. After borrowing multiple cups of sugar and hanging out a few times, I knew it was going to be. This was the first time that I got to know a lady in an everyday natural environment. Where I had an opportunity to see how a person really is. ...... I fell in love with the girl next door! |
